The Day I got to Practice my True Passion, International Relations

I woke up very early in the morning about 6 a.m. and headed to downtown Oklahoma City to prepare for the Turkish Festival. I am a Board Member of the Raindrop Turkish House Cultural Center so I got to be there to help set up and make sure everything is OK. The whole morning I was working with mainly Turkish friends and then joined by Americans and other nationalities.

At noon, I had to go to work at Oklahoma City University ESL ILETS testing. There I met students from different parts of the world including not limited to Africa, China, Southwest and Southeast Asia, Latin America and the list is long. Later on, I attended my American friends' engagement party where I met great people and shared my friends' happiness! No better happiness that being surrounded by many cultures and to get to experience all the good in these culture and learn from them

So Much to Do!

Sunday evening. I am sitting on a leather sofa. I had planned my day around the idea that I will catch up with all the work I had to do. School work: I have about seven exercises to do for class, work for job to catch up on, finalizing the translation I did for my uncle, checking the work of a friend, some studying to do and catching up with reading and writing. However, I got hit by a severe headache. It started yesterday afternoon. I was at my part time job when I started feeling it. I had to stand but the pain made it very difficult. I had to walk around just to distract myself. Then the pain continued all Saturday night. I had to take pain meds and sleep the entire evening. Sunday morning, at 4 am, I woke up with a severe pain in the right side of my head. I had to leave the room and sleep on the couch with the heater on. The pain continued most of the day even through a lovely lunch with friends. I am still in that pain despite the fact that I took meds. All my plans are put on hold now.. This is really frustrating.

Travel, Shop, Enjoy, Save Money and Help Displaced People

Dear friends,

Recently, I got involved with an organization that aims to save money for both travelers and locals of the United Arab Emirates. The company basically provide coupons and options to save money on products, services and events through a website to everyone who would like to enjoy stay and life at Dubai or UAE in general. As a person who likes to travel a lot, I would use any means available to save on purchases and services.

Not only this organization aims at saving money to travelers, but they recently launched a project to help people displaced from their homes as a result of the wars and conflicts in their home countries. The Project Manager's aim is to collaborate with organizations that are active in helping refugees and displaced people in creating livable conditions for them after losing their homes and forced out of them to flee the wars and conflicts.

Every time you spend money making a purchase through the website, a percentage of your purchase goes to help refugees. To find out more how you can help, please click on the link below and watch the video. The details are clearly presented in the video including the organizations we are collaborating with:

Please share the presentation with your friends through social media, blogs, word of mouth and any means possible. Every little thing can help.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

Hiba
